 AN ACT to amend the highway law, in relation to limitations  on  amounts
   to be raised for the repair and improvement of highways in the town of
   Huntington
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Subparagraph 1-a of paragraph a of subdivision 3 of section
 271 of the highway law, as amended by chapter 500 of the laws  of  1994,
 is amended and a new subparagraph 1-h is added to read as follows:
   (1-a) Four hundred thousand dollars in the towns of Babylon[, Hunting-
 ton,] and Islip in Suffolk county.
   (1-H) ONE MILLION DOLLARS IN THE TOWN OF HUNTINGTON IN SUFFOLK COUNTY.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
