 AN ACT to amend the general city law, in relation to limiting the appli-
   cability of plumbing and drainage provisions to the city of Middletown
 
   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section  1.  Subdivision  2  of section 57 of the general city law, as
 added by chapter 1046 of the  laws  of  1981,  is  amended  to  read  as
 follows:
   2.  This  article,  with the exception of section fifty-six-a thereof,
 shall not apply to the city of Glens Falls AND THE CITY OF MIDDLETOWN.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
