BILL NUMBER: S3467 SPONSOR: RITCHIE TITLE OF BILL: An act to amend the public authorities law, in relation to allowing the Onondaga county water authority to operate and maintain the town of Parish water system PURPOSE: This bill amends the public authorities law so that Onondaga County Water Authority may purchase, construct, lease and operate water systems and properties in all towns listed previously as well as the Town of Parish SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: Section 1. Subdivision 24 of section 1154 of the public authorities law, as amended by chapter 166 of the law of 2010, is amended so that the Town of Parish is among those towns authorized to contract with the Onondaga County Water Authority for the operation and maintenance of their water system.

RITCHIE -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Corporations, Authorities and Commissions AN ACT to amend the public authorities law, in relation to allowing the Onondaga county water authority to operate and maintain the town of Parish water system THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Subdivision 24 of section 1154 of the public authorities law, as amended by chapter 166 of the laws of 2010, is amended to read as follows: 24. Notwithstanding any other provision of this section, to purchase, construct, lease and operate water systems and properties in the towns of Sullivan, Lenox, Lincoln, Volney, Verona, Vienna, Hannibal, Hastings, Minetto, Schroeppel, Scriba, Oswego, West Monroe, Annsville, Granby, Constantia, PARISH and Sterling to enter into any contract authorized by this section with any municipality within the territorial limits of said towns, and to supply and sell any water not needed in the county of Onondaga at retail or at wholesale to individual consumers within the territorial limits of said towns. § 2.
