BILL NUMBER: S5083 SPONSOR: MAYER TITLE OF BILL: An act to amend chapter 381 of the laws of 2010 amend- ing the tax law relating to the imposition of an occupancy tax in the village of Rye Brook, in relation to extending the expiration thereof PURPOSE OR GENERAL IDEA OF BILL: To authorize the Village of Rye Brook to extend a room occupancy tax not to exceed 3%. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: This bill extends the current Village of Rye Brook occupancy tax for another three years until September 1, 2022. MAYER -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Investigations and Govern- ment Operations AN ACT to amend chapter 381 of the laws of 2010 amending the tax law relating to the imposition of an occupancy tax in the village of Rye Brook, in relation to extending the expiration thereof THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 2 of chapter 381 of the laws of 2010 amending the tax law relating to the imposition of an occupancy tax in the village of Rye Brook, as amended by chapter 290 of the laws of 2016, is amended to read as follows: § 2. This act shall take effect immediately and shall expire and be deemed repealed September 1, [2019] 2022. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
