 AN  ACT  to amend the business corporation law and the limited liability
   company law, in relation  to  directing  the  secretary  of  state  to
   provide information to certain new businesses

   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Section 408 of the business corporation law is  amended  by
 adding a new paragraph 9 to read as follows:
   9.  UPON  THE  RECEIPT  OF  A STATEMENT FOR FILING BY THE SECRETARY OF
 STATE PURSUANT TO THIS SECTION, THE SECRETARY  OF  STATE  SHALL  CONFIRM
 SUCH RECEIPT BY MAIL TO THE CORPORATION AT THE ADDRESS SET FORTH IN SUCH
 STATEMENT. IN ADDITION, THE SECRETARY OF STATE SHALL INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE
 LIMITED TO INCLUDING, THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IN SUCH MAILING:
   (A)  CONTACT  INFORMATION,  INCLUDING,  BUT  NOT  LIMITED  TO WEBSITE,
 ADDRESS AND TELEPHONE NUMBER, OF  THE  NEW  YORK  STATE  SMALL  BUSINESS
 DEVELOPMENT CENTER SERVING THEIR REGION;
   (B)  CONTACT  INFORMATION,  INCLUDING,  BUT  NOT  LIMITED  TO WEBSITE,
 ADDRESS AND TELEPHONE NUMBER, OF THE  NEW  YORK  STATE  ENTREPRENEURSHIP
 ASSISTANCE CENTER SERVING THEIR REGION;
   (C)  CONTACT  INFORMATION, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE WEBSITE,
 ADDRESS AND TELEPHONE NUMBER OF BUSINESS MENTOR NY; AND
   (D) CONTACT  INFORMATION,  INCLUDING,  BUT  NOT  LIMITED  TO  WEBSITE,
 ADDRESS  AND  TELEPHONE NUMBER, OF EMPIRE STATE DEVELOPMENT. INFORMATION
 REGARDING EMPIRE STATE DEVELOPMENT SHALL INCLUDE DIRECTION TO  RESOURCES
 AVAILABLE ON SUCH WEBSITE TO SUPPORT AND ASSIST NEW BUSINESSES.
   §  2.  Section  205 of the limited liability company law is amended by
 adding a new subdivision (e) to read as follows:
   (E) UPON THE RECEIPT OF AN APPLICATION TO RESERVE A LIMITED  LIABILITY
 COMPANY  NAME  BY  THE DEPARTMENT OF STATE PURSUANT TO THIS SECTION, THE
 DEPARTMENT SHALL CONFIRM SUCH RECEIPT BY MAIL TO THE  LIMITED  LIABILITY
 COMPANY  AT THE ADDRESS SET FORTH IN SUCH APPLICATION. IN ADDITION, SUCH
 
  EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets
                       [ ] is old law to be omitted.
