Introduced  by  Sen.  SEWARD -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
  printed to be committed to the Committee on Rules

AN ACT to amend the general city law, in relation to exempting the  city
  of Cortland from article four of the general city law

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. Subdivision 1 of section 57 of the  general  city  law,  as
amended  by  chapter  274  of  the  laws  of 2016, is amended to read as
follows:
  1. This article shall not apply to any of the  following  cities:  New
York,  Binghamton,  Schenectady,  Elmira,  Beacon, Hornell, Olean [and],
Poughkeepsie AND CORTLAND.
  § 2. This act shall take effect on the thirtieth day  after  it  shall
have become a law.
