 AN ACT to amend the public authorities law, in relation to extending the
   expiration of Long Island Rail Road tickets purchased before or during
   the COVID-19 state of emergency

   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. The public authorities law  is  amended  by  adding  a  new
 section 1266-l to read as follows:
   §  1266-L. LONG ISLAND RAIL ROAD TICKET EXTENSION; COVID-19.  NOTWITH-
 STANDING ANY OTHER PROVISION OF LAW, ANY ONE-WAY OR  ROUND  TRIP  TICKET
 PURCHASED  FOR  USE  ON  THE  LONG ISLAND RAIL ROAD BEFORE OR DURING THE
 COVID-19 STATE DISASTER EMERGENCY DECLARED BY EXECUTIVE ORDER NUMBER TWO
 HUNDRED TWO AND ANY FURTHER AMENDMENTS OR MODIFICATIONS THERETO, AND  AS
 MAY  BE  FURTHER EXTENDED PURSUANT TO SECTION TWENTY-EIGHT OF THE EXECU-
 TIVE LAW, SHALL BE VALID FOR ONE YEAR FROM THE DATE OF PURCHASE.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
