Assembly Resolution No. 577

in relation to the election and seating of Manny
De Los Santos as a Member of the Assembly from the
72nd Assembly District

WHEREAS, There is a vacancy existing in the membership of this
House, which was filled at the election held on February 15, 2022; and

WHEREAS, The final official canvass of the votes cast at said
election and certification thereof of the person elected thereat, cannot
be made at this time; and

WHEREAS, The Board of Elections of the City of New York has advised
that the votes cast for the Office of Member of Assembly in the 72nd
Assembly District in the County of New York shown by its canvass were
respectively as follows: Manny De Los Santos, Democrat, one thousand
four hundred thirty-seven, Edwin De La Cruz, Republican, one hundred
sixty-seven; Nayma Silver-Matos, Uptown Rises, seven hundred
thirty-five; and

WHEREAS, It appears that the results of the votes cast in said
Assembly District cannot be affected by the final official canvass of
such voters; and

WHEREAS, Manny De Los Santos has duly taken an oath of office as a
Member of Assembly; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That Manny De Los Santos, Democrat, is duly elected and
qualified as a Member of the Assembly for his respective district and
that he be seated in this House as such Member.
