HONORING Peter G. Ten Eyck II upon the occasion of
his designation as recipient of the Third Age
Achievement Award by Lifepath on April 29, 2022

WHEREAS, From time to time this Legislative Body takes note of
certain extraordinary individuals it wishes to recognize for their
valued contributions to the success and progress of society and publicly
acknowledge their endeavors which have enhanced the basic humanity among
us all; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Peter G. Ten
Eyck II upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the Third
Age Achievement Award by Lifepath, to be celebrated at its 26th Annual
Awards Ceremony on Friday, April 29, 2022, at Wolferts Roost Country
Club, Albany, New York; and

WHEREAS, Lifepath is dedicated to keeping older neighbors and
friends healthy and safe by providing effective programs and support to
help them stay connected to their communities; and

WHEREAS, Each year, this auspicious event recognizes the
contributions area residents and professionals have made in their
communities during the Third Age of their lives (after turning 60
years-old); Peter G. Ten Eyck II is truly deserving of this prestigious
award; and

WHEREAS, A graduate of Cornell University, Peter G. Ten Eyck II is
the owner of Indian Ladder Farms Inc., an apple orchard, cider mill and
retail farm market located two miles west of Voorheesville, New York;
and

WHEREAS, Peter G. Ten Eyck II and his wife Rose-Marie, are the 10th
generation of the family living in the Capital District; currently, the
104 year-old farm is being run by the 11th generation, daughter Laura
and son Peter; and

WHEREAS, In addition to his farming duties, Peter G. Ten Eyck II is
a Director of The New York Center for Agriculture and Medicine, and is a
member of New York's Apple Research and Development Board, as well as
several advisory boards in the community and around the State of New
York; and

WHEREAS, Peter G. Ten Eyck II also held the title of President of
the New York State Horticultural Society and Vice-Chairman of the Board
of Directors of the Albany Institute of History and Art, and was a
member of the New York State Commission on Constitutional Revision; and

WHEREAS, Peter G. Ten Eyck II was both the Director and member of
the Executive Committee of KeyCorp and the Board of Directors of the
Voorheesville Central School District, and Trustee of the Albany
Academy; and

WHEREAS, In 2001, Peter G. Ten Eyck II was named Trustee Emeritus
after 12 years of service to his alma mater, Cornell University; and

WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an
individual for the benefits of others which Peter G. Ten Eyck II has
displayed throughout his life; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Peter G. Ten Eyck II upon the occasion of his designation as
recipient of the 2022 Third Age Achievement Award by Lifepath; and be it
further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Peter G. Ten Eyck II.
