S T A T E O F N E W Y O R K ________________________________________________________________________ 6356 2021-2022 Regular Sessions I N A S S E M B L Y March 16, 2021 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. GRIFFIN -- read once and referred to the Commit- tee on Education AN ACT relating to legalizing, validating, ratifying and confirming a transportation contract for the Baldwin school district THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. All the acts done and proceedings heretofore had and taken or caused to be had and taken by the Baldwin School District and by all officers, employees or agents of such school district relating to or in connection with transportation contracts E258713, E266995, E266994, E266993, E266991 and E266992 of the 2017-2018 school year, and all acts incidental hereto are hereby legalized, validated, ratified and confirmed, notwithstanding any failure to comply with the contract award, approval and filing provisions of the education law, the general municipal law or any other law or any other statutory authority, rule or regulation, other than those filing provisions defined in paragraph a of subdivision 5 of section 3604 of the education law, in relation to any omission, error, defect, irregularity or illegality in such proceeding had and taken. § 2. The department of education is hereby directed to consider the aforementioned contract for transportation aid as valid and proper obli- gations of the Baldwin Union Free School District. § 3. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD10323-01-1
