 Introduced  by  Sen.  COMRIE -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
   printed to be committed to the Committee on Rules
 
 AN ACT to amend the public authorities law, in relation to extending the
   expiration of Metro-North Commuter Railroad and Long Island Rail  Road
   tickets purchased before or during the COVID-19 state of emergency

   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. The public authorities law  is  amended  by  adding  a  new
 section 1266-l to read as follows:
   §  1266-L.  METRO-NORTH  COMMUTER  RAILROAD  AND LONG ISLAND RAIL ROAD
 TICKET EXTENSION; COVID-19.  NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER PROVISION OF LAW,
 ANY ONE-WAY OR ROUND TRIP TICKET PURCHASED FOR USE  ON  THE  METRO-NORTH
 COMMUTER  RAILROAD AND/OR THE LONG ISLAND RAIL ROAD, INCLUDING A "CITYT-
 ICKET" AND AN "ATLANTIC TICKET", BEFORE OR  DURING  THE  COVID-19  STATE
 DISASTER  EMERGENCY  DECLARED  BY EXECUTIVE ORDER NUMBER TWO HUNDRED TWO
 AND ANY FURTHER AMENDMENTS OR  MODIFICATIONS  THERETO,  AND  AS  MAY  BE
 FURTHER  EXTENDED PURSUANT TO SECTION TWENTY-EIGHT OF THE EXECUTIVE LAW,
 SHALL BE VALID FOR ONE YEAR FROM THE DATE OF PURCHASE.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
