BILL NUMBER: S7718 SPONSOR: HINCHEY TITLE OF BILL: An act to amend a chapter of the laws of 2021 establishing the New York state rural ambulance services task force, as proposed in legislative bills numbers S. 3503-C and A. 1561-C, in relation to modifying the membership of the New York state rural ambulance services task force and extending the report submission date PURPOSE: This is a chapter amendment that makes changes to provisions of L.2021, c.778, to provide the Commissioner of the Department of Labor with appointees to the New York state rural ambulance services task force and extend the report submission date. HINCHEY -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Rules AN ACT to amend a chapter of the laws of 2021 establishing the New York state rural ambulance services task force, as proposed in legislative bills numbers S. 3503-C and A. 1561-C, in relation to modifying the membership of the New York state rural ambulance services task force and extending the report submission date THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Subparagraphs (vi) and (vii) of paragraph (a) of subdivi- sion 2 and subdivision 4 of section 1 of a chapter of the laws of 2021 establishing the New York state rural ambulance services task force, as proposed in legislative bills numbers S. 3503-C and A. 1561-C, are amended and a new subparagraph (viii) is added to paragraph (a) of subdivision 2 to read as follows: (vi) two members appointed by the office of fire prevention and control; [and] (vii) two members appointed by the bureau of emergency medical services[.]; AND (VIII) TWO MEMBERS APPOINTED BY THE COMMISSIONER OF LABOR. 4. Within [twelve] EIGHTEEN months of the effective date of this act, the department of health shall submit a report detailing the findings of the study to the governor, the temporary president of the senate, and the speaker of the assembly. § 2. This act shall take effect on the same date and in the same manner as a chapter of the laws of 2021 establishing the New York state rural ambulance services task force, as proposed in legislative bills numbers S. 3503-C and A. 1561-C, takes effect.
