BILL NUMBER: S4068 SPONSOR: BORRELLO TITLE OF BILL: An act to amend the tax law, in relation to extending the expiration of the authorization to the county of Wyoming to impose an additional one percent sales and compensating use tax PURPOSE: This bill would allow Wyoming County to continue to add an additional one percent to their sales tax to meet operating costs of the county government. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: Extends the expiration of the authorization to the county of Wyoming to impose an additional one percent sales tax to the present three percent rate until November 30, 2026.

BORRELLO -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Budget and Revenue AN ACT to amend the tax law, in relation to extending the expiration of the authorization to the county of Wyoming to impose an additional one percent sales and compensating use tax THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Clause 6 of subparagraph (i) of the opening paragraph of section 1210 of the tax law, as amended by section 1 of item ZZ of subpart C of part XXX of chapter 58 of the laws of 2020, is amended to read as follows: (6) the county of Wyoming is hereby further authorized and empowered to adopt and amend local laws, ordinances or resolutions imposing such taxes at a rate which is one percent additional to the three percent rate authorized above in this paragraph for such county for the period beginning September first, nineteen hundred ninety-two and ending Novem- ber thirtieth, two thousand [twenty-three] TWENTY-SIX; § 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD07690-01-3
