LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending the Mineola Volunteer Ambulance Corps,
Inc. upon the occasion of celebrating its 30th Anniversary

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and pay
tribute to those organizations within the State of New York which
provide vital emergency medical rescue services; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
the Mineola Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Inc. upon the occasion of cele-
brating its 30th Anniversary at a Dinner Dance on Saturday, May 2, 2009,
at the Knights of Columbus, Mineola, New York; and
WHEREAS, Volunteer ambulance corps are an important part of the safety
net of America's healthcare system; they provide lifesaving care to
those in need, 24 hours a day, seven days a week; and
WHEREAS, Access to quality emergency care dramatically improves the
survival and recovery rate of those who experience sudden illness or
injury; throughout the 30 year history of the Mineola Volunteer Ambu-
lance Corps, its members have worked tirelessly to bring the best quali-
ty of care to the residents of the local community; and
WHEREAS, All of the individuals involved with the Mineola Volunteer
Ambulance Corps, past and present, are deserving of the highest commen-
dation for their contributions to the noble missions of this lifesaving
organization; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when organiza-
tions of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend the Mineola Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Inc. upon the occasion of
celebrating its 30th Anniversary; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the Mineola Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Inc.
