LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Enzo Pizzimenti upon the occasion of
receiving the Business Leadership Award from the NYPD Columbia Associ-
ation on May 8, 2009

WHEREAS, It is the practice of this Legislative Body to take note of and
publicly acknowledge those extraordinary individuals whose purposeful
lives and distinguished careers have been committed to bettering the
quality of life in this great Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Within every community of the State of New York, there are
certain individuals who, by virtue of their commitment and dedication,
command the respect and admiration of their community for their exem-
plary contributions and service on behalf of others; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Enzo Pizzimen-
ti upon the occasion of receiving the Business Leadership Award from the
NYPD Columbia Association at its 77th Annual Dinner Dance to be held on
Friday, May 8, 2009; and
WHEREAS, A man of singular distinction, Enzo Pizzimenti has contin-
ually demonstrated extreme competence, extraordinary intelligence and
diligent leadership in his unwavering service to his community and
profession and consequently has been designated for this most presti-
gious honor; and
WHEREAS, Enzo Pizzimenti owns and operates several companies in
diverse business sectors; the experience he acquired while working with
READER'S DIGEST proved useful in establishing his first company, C.
Clean Inc., in 1984; as this private cleaning business rapidly grew, he
became aware of the need to expand his activities in a way that would
include home renovating, and the following year, he started Better
Building Services, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, As a response to his strong bond with his native Italy, Enzo
Pizzimenti started to direct his attention to the international business
arena; he founded the Italian Center for Commercial Affairs in Rye
Brook, New York, an organization committed to promoting commercial,
industrial and cultural exchange between Italy and Westchester County;
and
WHEREAS, Enzo Pizzimenti's contacts within the international business
community led him to sponsor and support many events in conjunction with
the European Union association related to international banking and
renewable energy; to that end, he has recently initiated the Interna-
tional Center for Commercial Affairs (ICCA), in an effort to promote and
develop activities that in keeping with the times, will promote and
develop sustainable technology on an international level; and
WHEREAS, Enzo Pizzimenti has been called upon to contribute his time
and talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has always
given of himself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, For over a decade, Enzo Pizzimenti has been co-president of
The Harrison Friends of the Opera; thanks to his creative vein and love
for music, he has helped produce operas, zarzuela, musicals and jazz
concerts for the benefit of his community; and
WHEREAS, In addition, in the past several years, Enzo Pizzimenti has
worked with the New York Columbia Police Association in organizing
events, one of which was a concert held at the Hammerstein Ball Room;
today, he continues to collaborate with the New York City Police Depart-
ment to promote culture and international brotherhood; he is also
involved with various charitable organizations, including the Columbus
Citizens Foundation; and
WHEREAS, With him throughout have been his wife, Josephine, their
daughter, Francesca and her husband, Tom, and their son, Joseph, as well

as their three grandsons, all of whom feel privileged to be a part of
his life and rejoice in his achievements; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Enzo Pizzimenti has displayed
throughout his life; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Enzo Pizzimenti upon the occasion of receiving the Business Lead-
ership Award from the NYPD Columbia Association on May 8, 2009; and be
it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Enzo Pizzimenti.
