LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Dress Barn upon the occasion of receiv-
ing the Corporate Partnership Award by People to People on May 31, 2009

WHEREAS, It is the practice of this Legislative Body to take note of and
publicly acknowledge businesses of remarkable integrity and character
that have inspired and brought pride to our majestic Empire State with
their strong contributions to their community; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Dress Barn upon the occasion of receiving the Corporate Partnership
Award by People to People to be celebrated at its party "Rockland-Down-
the-Shore" on Sunday, May 31, 2009, at Hilton Pearl River, Pearl River,
New York; and
WHEREAS, Businesses which provide outstanding services to residents of
the communities of the State of New York are deserving of public
acknowledgment and applause for their efforts; and
WHEREAS, Since its establishment, Dress Barn has earned a reputation
of excellence in serving the people in their community with loyalty and
dedication; and
WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body acknowl-
edges this exceptional business and its contributions to the local and
State economies, fully confident that it will continue to enjoy the
sparkling successes it has experienced thus far; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when businesses
of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our attention,
they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of this
great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Dress Barn upon the occasion of receiving the Corporate Partner-
ship Award by People to People; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Dress Barn.
