LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring the East Ramapo Teachers' Center upon
the occasion of its 25th Anniversary

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and pay
tribute to those organizations which are committed to enhancing the
quality of education in the State of New York, and which enable our
schools to offer excellent educational programs in the most efficient
manner; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor the
East Ramapo Teachers' Center upon the occasion of its 25th Anniversary;
and
WHEREAS, One of over 100 state-funded Teacher Resource and Computer
Training Centers in New York State, East Ramapo Teachers' Center was
established under state legislation in 1984; and
WHEREAS, Working in cooperation with the East Ramapo Central School
District and the East Ramapo Teachers' Association, the East Ramapo
Teachers' Center provides professional development programs for the
educational community, offering teachers the opportunity to take charge
of their own professional growth, share their expertise, upgrade their
skills, and develop collaborative relationships among colleagues; and
WHEREAS, The success enjoyed by the East Ramapo Teachers' Center is in
direct correlation to the efforts of the many individuals who have
supported its development over the years; and
WHEREAS, Equally commendable are the superbly-skilled staff at the
East Ramapo Teachers' Center, whose involvement is and has always been
characterized by an impressive commitment, an unbridled enthusiasm, and
an uncompromising standard of excellence in all of their efforts on
behalf of the center and the population it serves; and
WHEREAS, In light of its commitment, dedication, and successful
efforts, it is the sense of this Legislative Body to extend its highest
commendation to the East Ramapo Teachers' Center; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when organiza-
tions of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor the East Ramapo Teachers' Center upon the occasion of its 25th
Anniversary; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the East Ramapo Teachers' Center.
