LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Dr. AnnMarie Grigoletto upon the occa-
sion of her induction into the Bishop Kearney High School Hall of Fame
on March 5, 2010

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend individuals who have distinguished themselves in their chosen
field of endeavor, in their community, or through a lifetime of good
citizenship; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Dr. AnnMarie Grigoletto, M.D., upon the occasion of her induction into
the Bishop Kearney High School Hall of Fame at the school's Hall of Fame
Dinner Dance, to be held at Sirico's Caterers in Brooklyn on Friday,
March 5, 2010; and
WHEREAS, Bishop Kearney High School, Brooklyn, New York, has a proud
tradition of a strong educational program, founded in faith and encour-
aging personal and educational development, coupled with commitment to
faith and to engaged citizenship; and
WHEREAS, The Bishop Kearney High School Hall of Fame honors outstand-
ing members of the Bishop Kearney family and community who exemplify and
support Kearney's mission to educate young women and whose lives and
accomplishments exemplify the tenets of the school; and
WHEREAS, Pediatrician Dr. AnnMarie Grigoletto truly merits such recog-
nition; and
WHEREAS, Born and raised in Brooklyn, AnnMarie Grigoletto, M.D. is the
oldest daughter of Vincent and Jean Grigoletto; she attended St. Berna-
dette School in Dyker Heights and is a 1976 graduate of Bishop Kearney
High School; and
WHEREAS, Dr. AnnMarie Grigoletto's love for science was developed at
Bishop Kearney and grew while attending college; she graduated from the
Honors Program at Long Island University with a Bachelor of Science
degree in Biology in 1980 and went on to attend St. George's University
School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies, where she earned her Doctor
of Medicine (M.D.) degree in 1985; and
WHEREAS, Returning to New York, Dr. Grigoletto completed her post-
graduate training and residency in Pediatrics at St. Vincent's Medical
Center, Staten Island, after which, in 1988, she joined the pediatric
practice of Dr. Charles DeGennarro and Dr. Diana Pintus-Emma; today, Dr.
Grigoletto is a founding partner and current President of Island Heights
Pediatrics, with offices in Dyker Heights, Staten Island, and Old
Bridge, New Jersey; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Grigoletto is Board Certified by the American Board of
Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics; she
has been an Attending Physician at Richmond University Medical Center,
formerly St. Vincent's Medical Center, and Staten Island University
Hospital for more than 20 years and, active in her profession, she is a
member of the Richmond County Medical Society and the Brooklyn Pediatric
Society; and
WHEREAS, Known as "Dr. G," she enjoys providing health care and guid-
ance to pediatric patients from infancy through adolescence and young
adulthood and may be justly proud of now caring for the children of her
first patients and for many Kearney students; she is, in addition,
always eager to share her experiences and offer career guidance to
students interested in studying medicine; and
WHEREAS, With her throughout have been her husband, Dr. Patrick Davis,
an emergency physician, and their two children, Michael and Jenna, all

of whom feel privileged to be a part of her life and rejoice in her
achievements; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Grigoletto's induction into the Bishop Kearney High
School Hall of Fame is a well-deserved and fitting recognition of her
achievements and contributions; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Dr. AnnMarie Grigoletto upon the occasion of her induction into
the Bishop Kearney High School Hall of Fame on March 5, 2010; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Dr. AnnMarie Grigoletto.
