LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION mourning the death of Reverend William H.
Barrick, distinguished citizen and devoted member of his community

WHEREAS, It is with great sorrow and deep regret that this Legislative
Body records the passing of Reverend William H. Barrick, of Johnson
City, New York, who died at the age of 82, noting the significance of
his purposeful life and accomplishments; and
WHEREAS, Reverend William H. Barrick distinguished himself in his
profession and by his sincere dedication and substantial contribution to
the welfare of his community; and
WHEREAS, Reverend William H. Barrick's commitment to excellence, and
his spirit of humanity, carried over into all fields of enterprise,
including charitable and civic endeavors; and
WHEREAS, One of the four remaining charter members of the Johnson City
Christian Union Church, Reverend William H. Barrick was a 60 plus year
good standing member until the day he died; and
WHEREAS, Predeceased by his parents, William and Jessa Barrick, and a
brother, Leland Barrick, Reverend William H. Barrick is survived by his
sister, Ruth Barrick; brother, Lynn Barrick; nieces, Donna (Jim) Hecky,
Phyllis (Salvatore) Magri, and Tina Vymislicky; and nephews, Gary (June)
Barrick and Jerry Barrick; and
WHEREAS, Armed with a humanistic spirit, imbued with a sense of
compassion, and comforted by a loving family, Reverend William H.
Barrick leaves behind a legacy which will long endure the passage of
time and will remain as a comforting memory to all he served and
befriended; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
mourn the death of Reverend William H. Barrick, distinguished citizen
and devoted member of his community; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the family of Reverend William H. Barrick.
