LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Frank Naccarato upon the occasion of
his designation for special recognition by the Associazione Culturale
Pugliese Figli Maria S.S. Addolorata on June 6, 2010

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those individ-
uals who devote themselves to the welfare of the community and its citi-
zenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Frank Naccarato upon the occasion of his designation for special recog-
nition by the Associazione Culturale Pugliese Figli Maria S.S. Addolo-
rata at its Annual Gala to be held on Sunday, June 6, 2010, at Russo's
on the Bay, Howard Beach, New York; and
WHEREAS, A man of singular distinction, Frank Naccarato has contin-
ually demonstrated extreme competence, extraordinary intelligence, and
diligent leadership in his unwavering service to his community and
profession and consequently has been selected for this most prestigious
honor; and
WHEREAS, Frank Naccarato spent most of his childhood in Italy but in
the mid-1960s he joined his father in Brooklyn; in 1968 he graduated
from Midwood High School, where he played varsity soccer and won the
J.F.K. Award for Arts and Design in a citywide contest; and
WHEREAS, He served with the Armed Forces during the Vietnam conflict
in 1970 and also served with NATO forces in West Germany in 1972; when
he returned to New York, he worked as a designer with Morse Electrophon-
ics; he became a Board Member of the newly formed Verrazano Lodge, Order
Sons of Italy in America in 1973; and
WHEREAS, For the past 32 years, Frank Naccarato has been active in the
field of insurance and financial services with offices in Brooklyn and
Queens; he is recognized as one of the top leaders in the industry and
has received many prestigious awards; and
WHEREAS, Despite his busy professional life, Frank Naccarato has been
called upon to contribute his time and talents to countless civic and
charitable endeavors and has always given of himself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, Frank Naccarato has been active for many years in several
local organizations; he served for six years as Chairman of the Board of
the Federation of Italian American Organization of Brooklyn and is its
current President; he is past President of the Bensonhurst and Bay Ridge
Kiwanis Club and is also the Vice Commander of the American Legion,
George Washington Memorial Post 1872; and
WHEREAS, In addition, Frank Naccarato serves on Community Board 11 and
is on the Board of Trustees of Maimonides Medical Center; he is also a
member of the Executive Board of the Brooklyn Council Boy Scouts of
America; and
WHEREAS, In recognition of his efforts of in-depth magnitude, Frank
Naccarato has received numerous awards and accolades; some of which
include the Victor V. Allegretti Memorial Man of the Year Award from the
American Legion Kings County and the Premio (Award) Calabria-America
from the city of Gioia Tauro; he was also named the "Man of the Year" by
the Council of Neighborhood Organizations and has been honored by
Borough Hall for Italian American Heritage Month; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Frank Naccarato has stood constant
in dignity, good grace and humor; and

WHEREAS, With him throughout have been his wife, Sara, and their two
sons, Anthony and Frank Jr. as well as their grandchild, Francesco, all
of whom feel privileged to be a part of his life and rejoice in his
achievements; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Frank Naccarato has displayed
throughout his life; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Frank Naccarato upon the occasion of his designation for special
recognition by the Associazione Culturale Pugliese Figli Maria S.S.
Addolorata on June 6, 2010 ; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Frank Naccarato.
