LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Kloc's Grove, Inc. upon the occa-
sion of its designation for special recognition as recipient of the 2009
Business of the Year Award by the West Seneca Chamber of Commerce
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are enhanced by the concerned and dedicated efforts of business organ-
izations and individuals that generously contribute to the welfare of
the community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late Kloc's Grove, Inc. upon the occasion of its designation as recipi-
ent of the 2009 Business of the Year Award by the West Seneca Chamber of
Commerce; this auspicious occasion will be celebrated at the 62nd Annual
Awards Program of the West Seneca Chamber of Commerce, to be held at
Kloc's Grove, West Seneca, New York, on Saturday, April 4, 2009; and
WHEREAS, In 1955, Stanley and Dorothy Kloc purchased Hoffman's Ranch
in West Seneca, New York, and with sacrifice and hard work grew their
business from serving five to more than 200 banquets per year; to this
day, the Kloc family is still involved preparing much of the food for
the many corporate events, weddings and other celebrations held at the
Grove; and
WHEREAS, For more than 50 years, this successful family business has
been receiving thank you letters throughout the year; these letters are
testimonials to the quality of the food and service provided at Kloc's
Grove; and
WHEREAS, Kloc's Grove, Inc. offers high school students entry level
employment opportunities which train them in human relations and other
skills necessary to become successful in today's society; it also hosts
"Students of Excellence" and "Finance Academy" programs which encourage
today's youth to be the best they can be; and
WHEREAS, Kloc's Grove, Inc. also supports and promotes all West Seneca
businesses, and is proud to belong to the West Seneca community; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when business
organizations of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our
attention, they should be recognized by all the citizens of this great
Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Kloc's Grove, Inc. upon the occasion of its designation for
special recognition as recipient of the 2009 Business of the Year Award
by the West Seneca Chamber of Commerce; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Joseph Kloc, Owner and President, Kloc's Grove, Inc., 1245
Seneca Creek Road, West Seneca, New York 14224.
