LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION mourning the death of Daryll E. Bork, distin-
guished citizen and devoted member of his community
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to pay tribute to
citizens of the State of New York whose lifework and civic endeavor
served to enhance the quality of life in their communities and the great
State of New York; and
WHEREAS, Daryll Bork of Elma, New York, died on Friday, March 11,
2011, at the age of 39; and
WHEREAS, Daryll Bork distinguished himself in his profession and by
his sincere dedication and substantial contribution to the welfare of
his community; and
WHEREAS, Daryll Bork's commitment to excellence, and his spirit of
humanity, carried over into all fields of enterprise, including charita-
ble and civic endeavors; and
WHEREAS, Co-owner of Upstate Automotive Group, Daryll Bork was born in
Buffalo and a 1989 graduate of Iroquois Central High School; he earned a
bachelor's degree in business administration in 1993 from Utica College
of Syracuse University; and
WHEREAS, Daryll Bork's affiliation with Upstate Auto Group began in
2003, and since 2005, he had also served as vice president of Toyota of
Batavia; from 1993 to 2003, he owned Daryll's Car Audio; and
WHEREAS, A member of the Toyota 20 Group, Daryll Bork was a special
services reserve deputy for the Erie County Sheriff's Office and proudly
worked with the Operation SAFE CHILD program; and
WHEREAS, Known as "Sea Bass" by his closest friends, Daryll Bork had
interests that included golfing, snowmobiling, boating and water skiing
at Lime Lake; he was a true asset to society; and
WHEREAS, Daryll Bork is survived by his wife, Amy, their children,
Madison and Logan, and his parents, Frank and Sheila; and
WHEREAS, Armed with a humanistic spirit, imbued with a sense of
compassion, and comforted by a loving family, Daryll Bork leaves behind
a legacy which will long endure the passage of time and will remain as a
comforting memory to all he served and befriended; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
mourn the death of Daryll E. Bork, distinguished citizen and devoted
member of his community; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the family of Daryll E. Bork.
