LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Carlos Santos upon the occasion of his
designation for special recognition by the 2011 SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT
Men at Work Edition

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Carlos Santos has given not only of his time and energies but
also of his competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently has
been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Carlos
Santos upon the occasion of his designation for special recognition by
the 2011 SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT Men at Work Edition; and
WHEREAS, A graduate of Union High School in Union, New Jersey, Carlos
Santos received his Direct Support Professional Certificate from Sulli-
van County Community College in 2006; and
WHEREAS, Currently, Carlos Santos serves as Director of Community
Development and Program Services for New Hope Community, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, In this capacity, Carlos Santos develops and promotes commu-
nity relation opportunities, plans ongoing initiatives, and works with
community-based organizations to develop programs and events; and
WHEREAS, Furthermore, this dedicated professional is responsible for
ensuring the success of the Supported Work Program and the Living
Supported Work Program as well as overseeing volunteer contracts and
seeking out volunteer opportunities within the community; and
WHEREAS, Carlos Santos has been called upon to contribute his time and
talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has always given
of himself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Carlos Santos has stood constant in
dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, With him throughout have been his fiancee, Tracy Tesseyman,
and his two sons, Brandon and Alec, all of whom feel privileged to be a
part of his life and rejoice in his achievements; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Carlos Santos has displayed through-
out his life; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Carlos Santos upon the occasion of his designation for special
recognition by the 2011 SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT Men at Work Edition;
and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Carlos Santos.
