LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Theodore I. Jerrett upon the occasion of
his retirement after 32 years of distinguished service to Oswego County

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body seeks to acknowledge those individuals
whose professional lives and civic endeavors serve to enhance the stat-
ure of the State of New York; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that
the quality and character of life in the communities across New York
State are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those
organizations and individuals that are devoted to the welfare of the
community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Theodore I. Jerrett upon the occasion of his retirement after 32 years
of distinguished service to Oswego County, New York on May 23, 2011; and
WHEREAS, For the past 32 years, Theodore I. Jerrett rendered faithful,
conscientious and valuable service to Oswego County; he spent 20 years
as a member of the County Legislature, including three as Chairman, and
12 years as the Clerk of Legislature; and
WHEREAS, In this capacity, Theodore I. Jerrett served with loyalty,
honor and distinction; and
WHEREAS, In his official acts, Theodore I. Jerrett was governed by a
keen sense of duty and always showed a unique grasp of human problems;
and
WHEREAS, With him throughout have been his wife, Donna, their two sons
and five daughters, all of whom feel privileged to be part of his life
and rejoice in his achievements; and
WHEREAS, During his tenure with Oswego County, Theodore I. Jerrett
earned the admiration, esteem and affection of his colleagues; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Theodore I. Jerrett upon the occasion of his retirement after 32
years of distinguished service; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Theodore I. Jerrett, New Haven, New York.
