LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Nicholas Enriquez upon his induction
into the Amsterdam Mohawks Hall of Fame

WHEREAS, The State of New York takes great pride in acknowledging the
outstanding achievements of its esteemed and talented athletes; and
WHEREAS, Nicholas Enriquez will be inducted into the Amsterdam Mohawks
Hall of Fame during a dinner to be held at St. Mary's Institute on
February 4, 2012; and
WHEREAS, Nicholas was a valuable infielder and four-year letterman at
Menlo College; and
WHEREAS, He has played an essential role in several Mohawks' champion-
ships, beginning in 2003 when he served as assistant coach of the cham-
pionship team; and
WHEREAS, He was head coach in 2004, leading the team to the champion-
ship; and
WHEREAS, As top assistant at Dartmouth, Nicholas sent key players to
the Mohawks during their back-to-back championships in 2009 and 2010;
and
WHEREAS, He has also worked with USA Baseball, MLB International, and
as a scout for the Houston Astros; and
WHEREAS, His athletic ability and outstanding sportsmanship are an
inspiration to current Mohawk players; and
WHEREAS, His induction into the Amsterdam Mohawks Hall of Fame is a
fitting and lasting tribute to his extraordinary legacy; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Nicholas Enriquez upon his well-deserved induction into the Amst-
erdam Mohawks Hall of Fame; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Nicholas Enriquez.
