LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Vince LaPorta upon the occasion of being
named a 2012 Leader of Leaders by the Fulton County YMCA

WHEREAS, The State of New York takes great pride in acknowledging its
esteemed residents who have distinguished themselves in their community;
and
WHEREAS, Vince LaPorta will be honored as a 2012 Leader of Leaders by
the Fulton County YMCA at its Dinner Dance on March 9, 2012; and
WHEREAS, Vince is a long-time volunteer for the YMCA; and
WHEREAS, He is a past YMCA Board President; and
WHEREAS, Vince has served as Chairman for countless YMCA events; and
WHEREAS, He also contributes his time to many other local organiza-
tions; and
WHEREAS, Vince is retired as a teacher in the Gloversville Enlarged
School District; and
WHEREAS, He is married to his loving wife, Jean LaPorta, who is also
actively involved in the YMCA; and
WHEREAS, His dedication and enthusiasm are tremendous assets to the
Fulton County YMCA and an inspiration to his fellow volunteers; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Vince LaPorta upon the occasion of being named a 2012 Leader of
Leaders by the Fulton County YMCA; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Vince LaPorta.
