LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Vincent Iannelli upon the occasion of
his induction into the Fontbonne Hall Academy Hall of Fame on May 2,
2012

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Vincent Iannelli has given not only of his time and energies
but also of his competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently
has been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Vincent
Iannelli upon the occasion of his induction into the Fontbonne Hall
Academy Hall of Fame, to be celebrated at its 75th Anniversary Fleur de
Lys Dinner Dance on Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at Gargiulo's Restaurant in
Brooklyn, New York; and
WHEREAS, Born in Bay Ridge, New York, Vincent Iannelli attended Our
Lady of Angels School and graduated from Xaverian High School, which has
recently named him a Distinguished Alumnus; he also graduated as a
member of the first class on the Staten Island campus of St. John's
University; and
WHEREAS, After graduation, Vincent Iannelli joined his father Jim and
his uncle Al at Iannelli Construction, where he has been for the last 40
years; and
WHEREAS, Iannelli Construction performs work mainly in New York City
and recently expanded to building NYC Public Schools; and
WHEREAS, Vincent Iannelli has been called upon to contribute his time
and talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has always
given of himself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, Vincent Iannelli is a faithful parishioner of St. Ephrem
Parish, where he coached CYO basketball and his own children for over
six years; and
WHEREAS, Vincent Iannelli was also one of the founding members of the
St. Ephrem Teen Club; and
WHEREAS, Currently, Vincent Iannelli is a member of the Board of Trus-
tees of Xaverian High School, the Cathedral Club of Brooklyn, the
HeartShare School of Brooklyn, the Convention Center Development Corpo-
ration and the Cabrini Mission Foundation; and
WHEREAS, Moreover, Vincent Iannelli is the Treasurer of the AGC of New
York State, a 600 member statewide construction organization; and
WHEREAS, Vincent Iannelli also served as a member of Fontbonne's Board
of Trustees for six years, sharing both his knowledge and expertise; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Vincent Iannelli has stood constant
in dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, Vincent Iannelli is the proud father of three children, Carla
(Vincent), Francesca, and Vincent (Teodora), as well as the grandfather
of one grandson, Bernardo, and another grandchild expected in June of
2012, all of whom feel privileged to be a part of his life and rejoice
in his achievements; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Vincent Iannelli has displayed
throughout his life; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Vincent Iannelli upon the occasion of his induction into the Font-
bonne Hall Academy Hall of Fame on May 2, 2012; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Vincent Iannelli.
