LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Susan D. Settenbrino, Esq. upon the
occasion of her designation for special recognition by the Aleh Founda-
tion

WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those within our midst who have made signif-
icant contributions to the quality of life therein; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Susan D.
Settenbrino, Esq. upon the occasion of her designation for special
recognition by the Aleh Foundation, to be celebrated at its 28th Anni-
versary Awards Dinner Ceremony on Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at the Jewish
Museum of Heritage in New York City; and
WHEREAS, In 2009, Susan Settenbrino played a pivotal role in the
success of the Aleh Foundation's annual dinner; since then, she and her
husband, Dr. Terry Francis Davies have become one of the biggest
supporters of the Aleh Foundation's rehabilitative programs; and
WHEREAS, Susan Settenbrino was admitted to practice law in the States
of New York and New Jersey in 1994; since then, she has been admitted to
the Eastern and Southern District Courts, as well as to the Tax Court;
she is a former Assistant District Attorney, Appellate Trial Attorney,
Associate Professor, and is a member of the New York State Bar Associ-
ation; and
WHEREAS, Susan Settenbrino graduated Magna Cum Laude and was a Deans
Honor List graduate at Brooklyn College, where she earned a degree in
Business, Management, and Finance, a Certificate of Achievement in
Accounting, and a Minor in Russian Linguistics; the recipient of the
Young Leadership Award, she is also a former member of the National Poet
Society, a licensed real estate and mortgage broker, and can speak, to
varying degrees, the languages of Russian, Hebrew, and Yiddish; and
WHEREAS, Along with her husband, Terry, with her throughout have been
her children, Adir and Ariel, all of whom feel privileged to be a part
of her life and rejoice in her achievements; and
WHEREAS, A true asset to society, Susan Settenbrino's distinguished
record merits the recognition and respectful tribute of this Legislative
Body; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Susan D. Settenbrino, Esq. upon the occasion of her designation
for special recognition by the Aleh Foundation; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Susan D. Settenbrino, Esq.
