LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Joseph A. Fabrizi, Michael A.
McManus, Jr., Peter and Carmella Tully, and the Tully Construction
Company, as honorees of Tomorrow's Hope Foundation

WHEREAS, Individuals and organizations who give of their time and ener-
gies and serve the best interests of their communities are an asset
beyond remuneration and cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to acknowledge
outstanding individuals whose professional lives, personal endeavors and
community service are an example and inspiration to their colleagues,
friends, and family; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late Joseph A. Fabrizi, Michael A. McManus, Jr., Peter and Carmella
Tully, and the Tully Construction Company, as honorees of Tomorrow's
Hope Foundation; this auspicious occasion will be celebrated on Thurs-
day, May 24, 2012, at the Foundation's Seventh Annual Scholarship Gala,
to be held at the RXR Plaza in Uniondale, New York; and
WHEREAS, Created in September 2005 by Bishop William F. Murphy, Lewis
S. Ranieri, and concerned Catholics on Long Island, Tomorrow's Hope
Foundation's mission is to ensure the excellence, as well as the contin-
uance of Catholic schools on Long Island by increasing awareness and by
providing scholarships and program funding for the needs of students and
schools; and
WHEREAS, The Tomorrow's Hope Foundation is proud to honor: Joseph A.
Fabrizi, Executive Vice President of Cushman & Wakefield, Inc.; Michael
A. McManus, Jr., President and Chief Executive Officer of Misonix, Inc.;
and Peter and Carmella Tully; and the Tully Construction Company; as
honorees for their outstanding commitment to Catholic education; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of their professional and commu-
nity service, a period of constructive involvement, Joseph A. Fabrizi,
Michael A. McManus, Jr., and Peter and Carmella Tully have stood
constant in dignity, good grace and humor, and have earned the respect
and admiration of their colleagues, family and friends; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by individuals
for the benefit of others which Joseph A. Fabrizi, Michael A. McManus,
Jr., and Peter and Carmella Tully have displayed throughout their lives;
and
WHEREAS, This auspicious occasion presents a unique opportunity for
this Legislative Body to recognize and pay tribute to Joseph A. Fabrizi,
Michael A. McManus, Jr., Peter and Carmella Tully, and to the Tully
Construction Company; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals and business organizations of such noble aims and accomplishments
are brought to our attention, they should be recognized by all the citi-
zens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Joseph A. Fabrizi, Michael A. McManus, Jr., Peter and
Carmella Tully, and the Tully Construction Company, as honorees of
Tomorrow's Hope Foundation; and be it further
RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Joseph A. Fabrizi, Michael A. McManus, Jr., Peter and Carmel-
la Tully, and to the Tully Construction Company.
