LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Jacqui A. Williams-Fields upon the occa-
sion of her designation as recipient of the Valiant Service Award by the
NAACP Brooklyn Branch

WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those within our midst who have made signif-
icant contributions to the quality of life therein; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Jacqui A. Williams-Fields upon the occasion of her designation as recip-
ient of the Valiant Service Award by the NAACP Brooklyn Branch on
Wednesday, May 11, 2011; and
WHEREAS, This special event is the NAACP Brooklyn Branch's Annual
Freedom Fund Reception; and
WHEREAS, Jacqui Williams-Fields is the head of 99 Solutions, LLC, a
full service government relations and consulting firm; in addition to
fighting for her clients' goals, she embraces the diversity of New York
by creating economic opportunities for businesses and communities that
are under-utilized, while managing to balance those interests with those
of her clients; and
WHEREAS, Among the many clients Jacqui Williams-Fields has represented
include: IKEA, the New York Jets, Brooklyn Law School, Thor Equities,
Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, Coca-Cola, Cablevisions Systems Corpo-
ration, Albee Development, LLC, Yeshiva University and Delta Airlines;
and
WHEREAS, Since forming 99 Solutions, LLC, the firm has been privileged
to represent and advise Steve Wynn of Wynn Resorts Holdings, LLC,
Walmart, the Real Estate Board of New York, Donahue Peebles of the
Peebles Corporation, the Marilyn Monroe Estate, LLC, the Legal Aid Soci-
ety of New York, Cablevision, American Racing and Entertainment, the
Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation, the Cable Telecommunications
Association of New York (CTANY), Downtown Brooklyn Partnership, Greater
Jamaica Development Corporation, LaCite' Development, LLC and Madison
Realty Capital, LLC; and
WHEREAS, A resident of downtown Brooklyn and a proud veteran of the
United States Navy, Jacqui Williams-Fields is a SUNY graduate who earned
her degree in Criminal Justice; and
WHEREAS, With her throughout have been her husband, Christopher, who
feels privileged to be a part of her life and rejoices in her achieve-
ments; and
WHEREAS, A true asset to society, Jacqui Williams-Fields's distin-
guished record merits the recognition and respectful tribute of this
Legislative Body; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Jacqui A. Williams-Fields upon the occasion of her designation as
recipient of the Valiant Service Award by the NAACP Brooklyn Branch; and
be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Jacqui A. Williams-Fields.
