LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Drs. Lisa and Sheldon Feit upon their
selection as Guests of Honor at the Congregation Beth Sholom's 60th
Annual Testimonial Dinner

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Drs. Lisa and Sheldon have given not only of their time and
energies but also of their competence, intelligence and leadership and
consequently have been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Drs. Lisa
and Sheldon Feit upon their selection as Guests of Honor at the Congre-
gation Beth Sholom's 60th Annual Testimonial Dinner, to be held at
Congregation Beth Sholom on Sunday, March 25, 2012; and
WHEREAS, Drs. Lisa and Sheldon Feit are a dynamic and intelligent
couple who have successfully managed demanding careers, devotion to
family and a commitment to community service; and
WHEREAS, Both Lisa and Sheldon Feit are members of the Beth Sholom
Board of Trustees, where Lisa serves as Vice-Chair; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Lisa Feit also chairs the Congregation Beth Sholom Shir-
ley and Harold Bogdonoff Bikur Cholim Committee; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Sheldon Feit has been honored by Beth Sholom by being
named Chatan Bereshit on Simchat Torah; he also serves as a Gabbai in
the main Minyan; and
WHEREAS, In addition to their involvement with Beth Sholom, Sheldon
Feit has participated in Tomchei Shabbas and Lisa Feit has been the
recipient of the Rudy Rosen Humanitarian Award and has also been honored
by Emunah of America; and
WHEREAS, Drs. Lisa and Sheldon have been called upon to contribute
their time and talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and
have always given of themselves unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of their community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Drs. Lisa and Sheldon have stood
constant in dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by individuals
for the benefit of others which Drs. Lisa and Sheldon have displayed
throughout their lives; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Drs. Lisa and Sheldon Feit upon their selection as Guests of
Honor at the Congregation Beth Sholom's 60th Annual Testimonial Dinner;
and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Drs. Lisa and Sheldon Feit.
