LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Heather Howley upon the occasion of her
designation as recipient of the 2013 Orange County Rising Star Award, on
October 8, 2013

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to publicly recognize
those extraordinary individuals who have made contributions to the
success and progress of society in the course of their life's work; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Heather Howley (Independent Helicopters) upon the occasion of her desig-
nation as recipient of the 2013 Orange County Rising Star Award, to be
celebrated at a special event on Tuesday, October 8, 2013, at Anthony's
Pier 9, New Windsor, New York; and
WHEREAS, The Rising Star Award is given to a young professional
between the ages of 21 and 40 who has made outstanding contributions to
their profession or life's work and/or devoted their time and effort in
the Orange County community improving the quality of life for others;
and
WHEREAS, Heather Howley has been called upon to contribute her time
and talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has always
given of herself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of her community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Heather Howley has stood constant in
dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Heather Howley has displayed
throughout her life; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Heather Howley upon the occasion of her designation as recipient
of the 2013 Orange County Rising Star Award on October 8, 2013; and be
it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Heather Howley.
