LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Paulette Morgan for placing first
in Albany's Tulip Festival photo contest

WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those within our midst who have made signif-
icant contributions to the quality of life therein; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late Paulette Morgan for placing first in Albany's Tulip Festival photo
contest; and
WHEREAS, The Bulbs and Blooms Contest is held every year in Albany,
New York's Washington Park; and
WHEREAS, The photo shots consisted of dew-dropped petals, blooms
flanking the Moses statue in Washington Park, and close-ups of the flow-
er's interior; and
WHEREAS, This year's first place winner is Paulette Morgan of Delmar,
New York; the judges loved the abstract nature of her white tulip photo,
which brings to mind a cloud; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Paulette Morgan for placing first in Albany's Tulip
Festival photo contest; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Paulette Morgan.
