LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Dana Lee Hom upon the occasion of the
release of her first record album, on May 6, 2013

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to honor the youth of
today, and leaders of tomorrow, whose character and achievements best
exemplify the ideals and values cherished by this great State and
Nation; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Dana Lee Hom upon the occasion of releasing her first record album on
Monday, May 6, 2013; and
WHEREAS, Dana Lee Hom is a graduate of Shaker High School in Latham,
New York; just 18 years old, she finished high school a year early to
attend Berklee College of Music in hopes of also completing a music
business and vocal performance dual major early in order to seek profes-
sional opportunities in New York City or Los Angeles; and
WHEREAS, Dana Lee Hom's album, ALMOST GONE, is a testament to the
prodigious writing and vocal abilities of this aspiring musician; all of
the songs feature her singing and playing piano; and
WHEREAS, A music video for one of the album's tracks, "Grow Old,"
released with Boston-based company, Long Haul Films, has drawn close to
11,500 views on YouTube; and
WHEREAS, A consummate professional, Dana Lee Hom is working on materi-
al for her next album; she plans to spend this summer honing her skills
by playing live music in New York State's Capital Region; and
WHEREAS, With her dedication to her art and her drive to succeed, Dana
Lee Hom represents the best development of the potential which is inher-
ent in our most precious resource, our youth; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Dana Lee Hom upon the occasion of the release of her first
record album, and to wish her success in all her future endeavors; and
be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Dana Lee Hom.
