LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Pratool Gadtaula, Valedictorian of the
Highland High School Class of 2013

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to act, in accord with
its long-standing traditions, to honor the achievements of its young
citizens and leaders of tomorrow, whose character and accomplishments
exemplify the ideals and values cherished by this great State and
nation; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Pratool
Gadtaula, Valedictorian of the Highland High School Class of 2013; and
WHEREAS, Pratool Gadtaula has balanced a challenging academic schedule
with a variety of extracurricular and volunteer activities; and
WHEREAS, Pratool Gadtaula, the son of Hari and Prava Gadtaula, has
earned an impressive 101.83 Grade Point Average; next year, he will
major in engineering and business at the Frank W. Olin College of Engi-
neering in Needham, Massachusetts; and
WHEREAS, Pratool has been interested in science since he was a young
child; he was able to explore the field in both middle school and high
school, thanks to his participation in Highland High School's Science
Olympiad teams; and
WHEREAS, Pratool believes the diverse teaching styles of the talented
staff at Highland High School helped him to do his best; the teachers
all challenged him in different ways, whether it was to deepen his
understanding of a concept or by helping to create his work ethic; and
WHEREAS, During his time at Highland High School, Pratool Gadtaula was
also a member of the Varsity Tennis Team, Math Team, French Club, Mock
Trial, National Honor Society, French Honor Society, and the Tri-M Honor
Society; and
WHEREAS, An outstanding role model for his classmates, Pratool Gadtau-
la has brought honor to his family, school, and community; and
WHEREAS, Pratool Gadtaula may stand with pride in his achievements,
experiencing the satisfaction of his labors and the joy of his accom-
plishments, eager to face the challenge of new experiences as he contin-
ues his education; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Pratool Gadtaula, Valedictorian of the Highland High School Class
of 2013; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Pratool Gadtaula.
