LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Warwick Valley High School Junior
Kelsey Aeberli upon the occasion of her selection as a U.S. Lacrosse
First Team All-American

WHEREAS, Athletic competition enhances the moral and physical develop-
ment of the young people of this State, preparing them for the future by
instilling in them the value of teamwork, encouraging a standard of
healthy living, imparting a desire for success and developing a sense of
fair play and competition; and
WHEREAS, Kelsey Aeberli, through her diligence and rigorous efforts,
has been named a U.S. Lacrosse National High School All-American girls
lacrosse player; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late Warwick Valley High School Junior Kelsey Aeberli upon the occasion
of her selection as a U.S. Lacrosse First Team All-American; and
WHEREAS, This past season, Kelsey Aeberli acquired 44 goals and 43
assists; throughout her career, she amassed 100 goals and 100 assists;
and
WHEREAS, Kelsey Aeberli is one of 13 girls from the Hudson Valley
Region, and approximately 300 girls from across the country selected for
this prestigious honor; there is a rigorous screening process by U.S.
Lacrosse throughout the whole season; and
WHEREAS, The nomination criteria for a U.S. Lacrosse First Team All-
American is that players must be a member for the current season of an
All-State, All-County, or All-District Team, as well as a First Team
member for the current season of an All-League or All-Division Team; in
addition the nomination could be for a 2nd Team member of the National
Tournament Sub Regional Team; and
WHEREAS, Kelsey Aeberli's perseverance in rising through the ranks of
high school lacrosse players is a strong indication of her ability to
master difficult tasks; her accomplishments will enable her to emerge as
a leader, fully equipped to meet the challenges of today's complex soci-
ety; and
WHEREAS, Kelsey Aeberli is a credit to her family, her school, her
community, her State and her Nation, and no doubt her future will be
filled with accomplishments of equal importance; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations, in
recognition of the significance of this meritorious achievement, to
congratulate and honor Warwick Valley High School Junior Kelsey Aeberli
upon the occasion of her selection as a U.S. Lacrosse First Team All-Am-
erican; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Kelsey Aeberli.
