LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Artrider Productions of Woodstock, New
York, upon the occasion of hosting the Hudson Valley Arts Festival at
Rhinebeck

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those organiza-
tions and individuals who would devote themselves to the welfare of the
community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Artrider Productions of Woodstock, New York, upon the occasion of host-
ing the Hudson Valley Arts Festival at Rhinebeck on October 4-6, 2013;
and
WHEREAS, The Hudson Valley Arts Festival at Rhinebeck will be a cele-
bration of artistic expression in its many forms with a main focus on
craft and visual art; much more than a craft show, much more than an art
show, it will be a celebration of the very concept of creativity; and
WHEREAS, In addition to America's top artists, the Hudson Valley Arts
Festival will present a line up of exceptional musicians, live art
projects, workshops, film, art demonstrations, children's art activ-
ities, food and more; and
WHEREAS, This year, NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC chose the Hudson Valley which
encompasses the town of Rhinebeck as one of its international 20 must
see places of 2013; and
WHEREAS, Artrider, with its 30 years of experience producing large-
scale fine craft shows, festivals and events, is collaborating with
Dutchess County Tourism, the Dutchess County Arts Council and the Wood-
stock Film Festival, acclaimed as one of the top 50 film festivals in
the world, to create the annual Hudson Valley Arts Festival arts week-
end; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when organiza-
tions of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Artrider Productions of Woodstock, New York, upon the occasion
of hosting the Hudson Valley Arts Festival at Rhinebeck; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Artrider Productions.
