LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION mourning the death of Ernest E. Kensey, distin-
guished citizen and devoted member of his community
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to pay tribute to
citizens of the State of New York whose lifework and civic endeavor
served to enhance the quality of life in their communities and the great
State of New York; and
WHEREAS, Ernest E. Kensey of Florida and formerly of Vestal, New York,
died on August 14, 2013, at the age of 69; and
WHEREAS, Born to Emil and Rabella Kensey on December 7, 1943, in
Dunkirk, New York, Ernest E. Kensey graduated from Silver Creek High
School and the State University of New York at Buffalo; and
WHEREAS, The former owner of All Ready Printing in Binghamton, Ernest
E. Kensey distinguished himself in his profession and by his sincere
dedication and substantial contribution to the welfare of his community;
and
WHEREAS, Ernest E. Kensey's commitment to excellence, and his spirit
of humanity, carried over into all fields of enterprise, including char-
itable and civic endeavors; he was a former member and past president of
the Endicott Sertoma Club and was an avid Duplicate Bridge player at the
Life Master Level; and
WHEREAS, Predeceased by his parents, Emil and Rabella Kensey; his
loving son, Matthew; and his father-in-law, Gordon Kinney, Ernest E.
Kensey is survived by his wife, Valerie Kensey; his brother, Ronald
Kensey; his sister, Amy Kensey Baldi; his mother-in-law, Margieann
Kinney; and many nieces and nephews; as well as his dog Jake who was his
best buddy; and
WHEREAS, Recently, Ernest E. Kensey was reunited with his daughter,
Holly and her husband, Neil Dobson, and their two children, Alexa and
Emma; and
WHEREAS, Armed with a humanistic spirit and imbued with a sense of
compassion, Ernest E. Kensey leaves behind a legacy which will long
endure the passage of time and will remain as a comforting memory to all
he served and befriended; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
mourn the death of Ernest E. Kensey, distinguished citizen and devoted
member of his community; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the family of Ernest E. Kensey.
