LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Brad Clouston upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of the 2013 Rising Star Award by the Seneca
County Chamber of Commerce
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to publicly recognize
those extraordinary individuals who have made contributions to the
success and progress of society in the course of their life's work; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Bradley "Brad" Clouston upon the occasion of his designation as recipi-
ent of the 2013 Rising Star Award by the Seneca County Chamber of
Commerce, to be celebrated at its Annual Dinner Meeting on Friday, Janu-
ary 24, 2014, at the Waterloo/Seneca Falls Holiday Inn, Waterloo, New
York; and
WHEREAS, The Rising Star Award is given to a young professional (40 or
under) who has made outstanding contributions to their profession or
life's work and has devoted their time and effort in the greater Seneca
County community improving the quality of life for others; and
WHEREAS, After graduating from Mynderse Academy in Seneca Falls, New
York, Brad Clouston moved to Rochester to earn his bachelor's degree
from St. John Fisher College; and
WHEREAS, In June of 2012, Brad Clouston returned to his hometown, and
began working for Lyons National Bank; since that time, he has immersed
himself in professional and community service activities that benefit
both the residents and businesses of Seneca County; and
WHEREAS, An avid volunteer, Brad Clouston is an active member of the
Finger Lakes Young Professionals steering committee, a committee member
in the Seneca Falls Chapter of Ducks Unlimited, and serves on the Board
of Trustees for the Waterloo Library and Historical Society; and
WHEREAS, In addition, as a member of the Waterloo Rotary Club, Brad
Clouston serves as the Membership Chair; in this role, he serves as a
primary point of contact for prospective members who want to know more
about the Club; and
WHEREAS, Brad Clouston has been called upon to contribute his time and
talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has always given
of himself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Brad Clouston has stood constant in
dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, With him throughout have been his fiance, Amanda Barbay, his
mother, Kimberly Sciotti, and his father, Burley Clouston, all of whom
feel privileged to be a part of his life and rejoice in his achieve-
ments; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be recognized by all the citizens of this great Empire
State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Brad Clouston upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of
the 2013 Rising Star Award by the Seneca County Chamber of Commerce; and
be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Bradley "Brad" Clouston.
