LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Simonne Cazoe upon the occasion of
receiving a 2014 Scholarship Award from the Major General Irene
Trowell-Harris Chapter of Tuskegee Airmen, Inc.

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to honor the young
adults of today and leaders of tomorrow whose character and achievements
best exemplify the ideals and values cherished by this great State and
Nation; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Simonne Cazoe upon the occasion of receiving a 2014 Scholarship Award
from the Major General Irene Trowell-Harris Chapter of Tuskegee Airmen,
Inc.; and
WHEREAS, Simonne Cazoe, a student at Newburgh Free Academy, has
participated in many community service events, including a Liberty Part-
nership Program mentoring youth in need of positive role models; she is
also a member of SUNY New Paltz's Science Technology Entry Program
(STEP), for students planning a career in the sciences; and
WHEREAS, This exemplary young woman plans to major in a Biology pre-
medical program, and then study to become a Neonatologist; and
WHEREAS, Throughout her high school career, Simonne Cazoe has
displayed exceptional academic achievement, a strong sense of community
responsibility, and a commitment to excellence which is unparalleled;
and
WHEREAS, Simonne Cazoe, in achieving this academic honor, may take
just pride in the inspiration and contribution to the spirit of excel-
lence she brings to her family, friends, community and school; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Simonne Cazoe upon the occasion of receiving a 2014 Scholarship
Award from the Major General Irene Trowell-Harris Chapter of Tuskegee
Airmen, Inc., and to extend to her best wishes for a future of purpose-
ful success and wellbeing; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Simonne Cazoe.
