LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION mourning the death of Andrew R. Mancini, distin-
guished citizen and devoted member of his community
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to pay tribute to
citizens of the State of New York whose lifework and civic endeavor
served to enhance the quality of life in their communities and the great
State of New York; and
WHEREAS, Andrew "Andy" R. Mancini of Endicott, New York, and Naples,
Florida, died on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at the age of 79; and
WHEREAS, Andrew R. Mancini distinguished himself in his profession and
by his sincere dedication and substantial contribution to the welfare of
his community; and
WHEREAS, He was founder and CEO of Andrew R. Mancini Associates,
served on several area Bank boards, and was a member and former board
member of the Binghamton Country Club, Endwell, New York, and Quail
Creek Country Club, Naples, Florida; and
WHEREAS, Andrew R. Mancini's commitment to excellence, and his spirit
of humanity, carried over into all fields of enterprise, including char-
itable and civic endeavors; and
WHEREAS, Andrew R. Mancini was a member of St. Anthony of Padua
Church, in Endicott, New York, and a member of St. Agnes Church, Naples,
Florida; and
WHEREAS, His passion in life was the business he founded 45 years ago,
and always enjoyed his family, friends and a good game of golf; and
WHEREAS, Predeceased by his parents, Sam and Josephine Mancini; and
sisters, Ann Marie and Judy, Andrew R. Mancini is survived by his
beloved wife of 51 years, Sandra Mancini; his loving children, Carolyn
Mancini, Joseph and Cheryl Mancini, and Andrea and Phil Laney; six
grandchildren, Nate, Mikey, Gabe and Andy Mancini, Grace and Ben Laney;
and nieces and nephews, Diane (Dave) Lechner, Michael (Kris) Ferranti,
Steven Ferranti, and Amy (Ben) Karle; as well as several cousins; and
WHEREAS, Armed with a humanistic spirit and imbued with a sense of
compassion, Andrew R. Mancini leaves behind a legacy which will long
endure the passage of time and will remain as a comforting memory to all
he served and befriended; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
mourn the death of Andrew R. Mancini, distinguished citizen and devoted
member of his community; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the family of Andrew R. Mancini.
