LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Technician Anthony Howley for his many
years of dedicated service to Verizon

WHEREAS, Individuals who distinguish themselves in their profession and
give of their time and energies and serve the best interests of their
communities are an asset beyond remuneration and cannot be sufficiently
extolled; and
WHEREAS, Anthony Howley has given not only of his time and energies
but also of his competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently
has been designated for special recognition; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Technician
Anthony Howley for his many years of dedicated service to Verizon; and
WHEREAS, Born in London, England, Anthony Howley was raised in Sunny-
side and Elmhurst, Queens, and currently resides in Forest Hills,
Queens; and
WHEREAS, Anthony Howley began working for New York Telephone on April
8, 1991, and has since worked in the Repair Service Bureau, Customer
Service Department, and is currently a Field Technician working as a
Lineman; and
WHEREAS, For 23 years, Anthony Howley has been a dedicated and valued
employee; he played a vital part restoring service to thousands of Veri-
zon customers, both residential and business, after countless storms
including Hurricane Irene, microburst storms and Super Storm Sandy; and
WHEREAS, With him throughout have been his wife, Meredith, and their
two sons, Owen and Finn, all of whom feel privileged to be a part of his
life and rejoice in his achievements; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Anthony Howley has displayed
throughout his life; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Technician Anthony Howley for his many years of dedicated service
to Verizon; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Anthony Howley.
