LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Mark and Sharon O'Callaghan of Exit 9
Wine & Liquor Warehouse upon the occasion of their designation as recip-
ients of the Joseph R. Simon Senior Housing Award

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to call attention to
individuals who devote their time and energies to improving the lives of
seniors and their families in the State of New York; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Mark
and Sharon O'Callaghan of Exit 9 Wine & Liquor Warehouse upon the occa-
sion of their designation as recipients of the Joseph R. Simon Senior
Housing Award by Colonie Senior Service Centers at its Annual Founders'
Awards Dinner held Monday, October 21, 2013; and
WHEREAS, Colonie Senior Service Centers (CSSC) is a nonprofit, commu-
nity-based senior service organization serving seniors and their fami-
lies in Albany County, Schenectady County, and Rensselaer County for the
past 30 years; and
WHEREAS, Each year the Founders' Award dinner honors six businesses
and community leaders who reflect the commitment, vision and leadership
exemplified by the founders of the CSSC; and
WHEREAS, Mark and Sharon O'Callaghan of Exit 9 Wine & Liquor Warehouse
received this auspicious award for being an instrumental part of the
Warmth of Wine, a wine tasting fundraiser in its 9th year that helps low
income seniors pay their heating bills; and
WHEREAS, Exit 9 Wine and Liquor Warehouse has donated an astonishing
amount of wine to make this significant and vital event possible; in
addition, Mark and Sharon O'Callaghan have generously given their time
serving on the event committee, ensuring its success; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Mark and Sharon O'Callaghan of Exit 9 Wine & Liquor Warehouse upon
the occasion of their designation as recipients of the Joseph R. Simon
Senior Housing Award; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Mark and Sharon O'Callaghan, Exit 9 Wine & Liquor Warehouse.
