LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Bob Radliff upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of the Brian O'Shaughnessy Award by the Commu-
nity Loan Fund

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Bob Radliff has given not only of his time and energies but
also of his competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently has
been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Bob Radliff
upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the Brian
O'Shaughnessy Award by the Community Loan Fund on Tuesday, October 29,
2013; and
WHEREAS, Bob Radliff was chosen to receive the Brian O'Shaughnessy
Award in recognition of his dedicated leadership, guidance and commit-
ment to social justice and community development during his 17-year
tenure at the Community Loan Fund; and
WHEREAS, Former Executive Director of the Community Loan Fund, Bob
Radliff joined the organization in 1996, and led a substantial period of
growth that has had a tremendous impact on community-based economic
development in the Capital Region; and
WHEREAS, Under the leadership of Bob Radliff, the Community Loan
Fund's assets increased, which allowed an expansion of the organiza-
tion's programs and influence to over 11 counties; and
WHEREAS, Throughout his illustrious career, Bob Radliff has taken many
steps to expand the reach of the organization including establishing a
long term partnership with the Huether School of Business at the College
of Saint Rose, as well as providing training to micro entrepreneurs,
small businesses, and non-profit organizations; and
WHEREAS, Bob Radliff has been called upon to contribute his time and
talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has always given
of himself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Bob Radliff has stood constant in
dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Bob Radliff has displayed throughout
his life; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Bob Radliff upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of
the Brian O'Shaughnessy Award from the Community Loan Fund; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Bob Radliff.
