LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Donald A. Adams upon the occasion of his
retirement after 38 years of distinguished service to Delta Engineers

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to acknowledge the
significant milestones in the distinguished careers of esteemed resi-
dents of this noble Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Donald A. Adams upon the occasion of his retirement after 38 years of
distinguished service to Delta Engineers; and
WHEREAS, Donald A. Adams founded Delta Engineers in 1976; his vision
of a family oriented engineering firm where all employees are proud to
contribute to the success of the company began to unfold with a modest
beginning and has grown into what is known as Delta Engineers, Archi-
tects, & Land Surveyors, P.C.; and
WHEREAS, Throughout Donald A. Adams career, he served Delta Engineers
with intelligence and caring dedication, continuously striving to effec-
tively fulfill the duties of his position; and
WHEREAS, Donald A. Adams holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineer-
ing and a master's degree in civil engineering, both from Drexel Univer-
sity; in addition he earned his Masters of Business Administration from
Binghamton University; and
WHEREAS, A registered Professional Engineer in New York State, Donald
A. Adams is a member of the American Society of Quality, National Socie-
ty of Professional Engineers, American Water Works Association, and a
Life Member of the American Society of Civil Engineers; and
WHEREAS, Once strictly a civil engineering firm, Delta Engineers has
grown to be a company that now provides design services for mechanical,
electrical, plumbing, structural, architectural, bridge, highway, land
survey, and precast clients, as well as environmental services and
construction administration; and
WHEREAS, As Delta Engineers grew, Donald A. Adams saw a need to devel-
op a quality control program that would establish Delta as a superior
engineering firm; he was responsible for designing and establishing
Delta's ISO 9000 Quality Assurance and Quality Control in 2005 and
provided oversight for the maintenance of their ISO 9001 2008 certif-
ication; and
WHEREAS, With over 50 years of engineering experience, Donald A. Adams
served as the Founding Principal at Delta Engineers, was on the Board of
Directors and provided invaluable insight into strategic and operational
company issues; and
WHEREAS, In his capacity as Founding Principal of Delta Engineers,
Donald A. Adams served with loyalty, honor and distinction; and
WHEREAS, With him throughout has been his wife, Kay, who feels privi-
leged to be a part of his life and rejoices in his achievements; and
WHEREAS, During his tenure with Delta Engineers, Donald A. Adams
earned the admiration, esteem and affection of his colleagues; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Donald A. Adams upon the occasion of his retirement after 38 years
of distinguished service to Delta Engineers; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Donald A. Adams.
