LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating E.J. Franskevicz for special
recognition upon being selected to the Student Athlete All-Academic Team
by the New England Football Conference

WHEREAS, Athletic competition enhances the moral and physical develop-
ment of the young people of this State, preparing them for the future by
instilling in them the value of teamwork, encouraging a standard of
healthy living, imparting a desire for success and developing a sense of
fair play and competition; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to act, in accord
with its long-standing traditions, to honor the achievements of its
young citizens and leaders of tomorrow, whose character and accomplish-
ments exemplify the ideals and values cherished by this great State and
nation; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to congratulate E.J.
Franskevicz for special recognition upon being selected to the Student
Athlete All-Academic Team by the New England Football Conference; and
WHEREAS, Academically and athletically, E.J. Franskevicz has distin-
guished himself as a young man of superlative ability, talent, and matu-
rity, establishing standards of excellence and achievement, purposeful-
ness of life, and responsibility rarely achieved in youthful years; and
WHEREAS, The son of Dave and Bev Franskevicz, sophomore E.J. Franskev-
icz is majoring in engineering at Western New England University; he has
achieved two consecutive 4.0 grade point averages in the past two semes-
ters; and
WHEREAS, E.J. Franskevicz has made significant contributions to the
Golden Bears football team during its 2013 season; he has brought honor
to his family, school, and community; and
WHEREAS, This remarkable Student Athlete may stand with pride in his
achievements, experiencing the satisfaction of his labors and the joy of
his accomplishments, eager to face the challenge of new experiences in
his future; and
WHEREAS, E.J. Franskevicz's hard work and determination represents the
potential inherent in our most precious resource, our youth; this Legis-
lative Body is pleased to honor this young man, recognizing his achieve-
ments and the promise of his future; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate E.J. Franskevicz for special recognition upon being
selected to the Student Athlete All-Academic Team by the New England
Football Conference, and to wish him well in his future endeavors; and
be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to E.J. Franskevicz.
