LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Bruce Davis, DDS upon the occasion of
his designation as recipient of a President's Award by the Capital
District YMCA

WHEREAS, The State of New York takes great pride in acknowledging its
esteemed residents who have distinguished themselves in their community;
and
WHEREAS, Bruce Davis, DDS, will be honored by the Capital District
YMCA with its President's Award during a dinner at the Albany Marriott
on April 22, 2014; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Davis was selected for this prestigious honor by the
Southern Saratoga YMCA; and
WHEREAS, He earned a Bachelor's degree in chemistry from Hope College
and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan,
Ann Arbor, where he was recognized as the top student in his class in
Pediatric Dentistry; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Davis opened a dental practice in the Capital Region with
his friend and classmate, Dr. Michael King; and
WHEREAS, The Davis and King Family Dentistry practice in Clifton Park
continues to provide expert dental care for patients of all ages; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Davis has also served as team dentist for the New Jersey
Devils organization since 2001, working with the Albany Devils and
previously, the Albany River Rats; and
WHEREAS, He is a member of the New York State Dental Association, 4th
District Dental Society, and the American Dental Association; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Davis and his loving wife, Karen, are the proud parents
of Dylan, Chelsea, Hunter, and Dawson Davis; and
WHEREAS, He enjoys traveling, safaris, hockey, golf, mountain biking,
hiking, and spending time with his family; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Davis has exhibited the true spirit of this prestigious
award; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Dr. Bruce Davis upon the occasion of his designation as recipient
of a President's Award by the Capital District YMCA; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Dr. Bruce Davis.
