LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commemorating the 30th Anniversary of the
Newburgh Ministry, Inc. to be celebrated March 20, 2014

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize those
organizations within our midst, which have demonstrated consistent
excellence while bringing great pride and enjoyment to the citizens of
our great State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, it is the intent of this Legislative Body to
commemorate the 30th Anniversary of the Newburgh Ministry, Inc. to be
celebrated with a dinner on Thursday, March 20, 2014, at Anthony's Pier
9, New Windsor, New York; and
WHEREAS, The Newburgh Ministry, Inc. is a multi-cultural community
center located in the City of Newburgh's East End; and
WHEREAS, In solidarity with its neighbors, they accompany each other
in presence, service and transformation; and
WHEREAS, Believing in the dignity and worth of each person, the
Newburgh Ministry is committed to nonviolence and to work for justice
and change; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when organiza-
tions of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate the 30th Anniversary of the Newburgh Ministry, Inc. to be
celebrated March 20, 2014; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the Newburgh Ministry, Inc.
