LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending David Ainspan for his heroic efforts
as a member of Albany County EMS upon the occasion of being honored by
the Nathaniel Adams Blanchard Post 1040 of the American Legion at its
Community Award Ceremony

WHEREAS, Volunteer ambulance corps members are an important part of the
safety net of America's healthcare system; they provide lifesaving care
to those in need, 24 hours a day, seven days a week; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and pay
tribute to those individuals within the State of New York who, in the
course of their jobs, perform acts of heroic dimension; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
EMT David Ainspan for his heroic efforts as a member of Albany County
EMS upon the occasion of being honored by the Nathaniel Adams Blanchard
Post 1040 of the American Legion; he will be celebrated by the Post at
its Community Awards Ceremony on Monday, March 3, 2014, in Delmar, New
York; and
WHEREAS, EMT David Ainspan has been designated recipient of the Fire
Services Lifesaving Award for his role in treating an elderly resident
of Slingerlands, New York, who was trapped in a fire on September 12,
2013; and
WHEREAS, On many occasions, EMT David Ainspan has acted with bravery
and steady precision in dealing with the risk and drama of emergency
situations; and
WHEREAS, EMT David Ainspan is known throughout his community for
excellence and professionalism, always going the extra mile in the
provision of care to people in need; his hard work embodies the dedi-
cation, compassion, and respect displayed by emergency responders across
this great Empire State; and
WHEREAS, In the performance of his duties, David Ainspan has demon-
strated his character and his concern for the welfare of others; he is a
tremendous asset to Albany County EMS and a distinguished citizen of the
State and Nation; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend EMT David Ainspan for his heroic efforts as a member of Albany
County EMS upon the occasion of being honored by the Nathaniel Adams
Blanchard Post 1040 of the American Legion; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to EMT David Ainspan.
