LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION Congratulating Coach Bob Rosen on his 400th
career victory as Head Coach of the Williamsville North Boys Hockey Team

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to act, in accordance
with its long-standing traditions, to commend notable educators and
athletic coaches who serve the youth of this great Empire State, and who
have distinguished themselves and their schools through outstanding
commitment and exemplary athletic achievement; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Coach Bob Rosen on his 400th career victory as Coach of the Williams-
ville North Boys Hockey Team; and
WHEREAS, Coach Bob Rosen achieved this historic milestone when his
Williamsville North Spartans hockey team defeated Lancaster 3-1 on
Thursday, January 16, 2014, at the Northtown Center in Amherst, New
York; and
WHEREAS, In 1991, Bob Rosen became the sole head coach in Williams-
ville North's history, and has through his diligence, built the program
into a hockey powerhouse, renowned throughout the State; and
WHEREAS, For the past 24 years, Coach Bob Rosen has superbly mentored
and guided young athletes to success on and off the hockey rink; more
than 30 of his players have gone on to play professionally or collegi-
ately; and
WHEREAS, This skilled and inspirational tutor has the most wins of any
active high school boys hockey coach in the State of New York; he has
led the Williamsville North Spartans to four New York State Public
school titles, with the most recent coming in 2011; and
WHEREAS, Coach Bob Rosen's positive demeanor, selfless commitment, and
caring concern have contributed to his enduring success as a coach and
mentor, earning him the just respect and admiration of his community,
his peers, and the athletes he has so ably coached; and
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations, to
congratulate Coach Bob Rosen on his 400th career victory as Head Coach
of the Williamsville North Boys Hockey Team; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Coach Bob Rosen.
